GTM Engineer

London (expect 5 days in office)Full-time

About us

Telluvian is a London-based, VC-backed pre-seed startup. We use mechanistic interpretability, our understanding of what's happening inside neural networks, to make AI cheaper and more secure. Learn more at telluvian.ai.

The role

We're looking for someone to own how we find customers and how we sell to them. You'll run outbound, build and manage the sales pipeline, and work out who we should be talking to in the first place.

You'll be on the calls yourself, working out what customers actually need and bringing that back to research, engineering and leadership clearly enough that we can act on it. At a company of this size growing this quickly, you'll be the main channel between what the market wants and what we build.

The core skill is running many threads at once and knowing which ones matter. You'll be sitting over a large volume of outbound and deciding constantly where the attention goes.

This is our first hire on the commercial side. As we grow, we expect this person to build and lead the GTM team.

You'll join a team of fewer than ten people. Software and maths understanding will be useful since the team is very technical, but this is a commercial role, not a technical one.

This is a full time position with flexible working hours. We ask that you're in person in the London office a minimum of four days a week.

Start date is flexible but our target date is mid September.

What you'll do

  • Lead sourcing. Working out who we should be talking to, and getting us in front of them.
  • Outbound at volume, and the prioritisation that makes it work rather than just makes it large.
  • Sales. Speaking to people directly, understanding what they need, and where it's a fit, convincing them to work with us.
  • Market research, including what our outreach results imply about where the market actually is.
  • Help set commercial strategy, forming specific asks for the research, engineering and product side of the company.

What we're looking for

  • A driven individual looking to take a leading role in building a company and its market share.
  • Experience leading GTM or sales at a startup, or a track record of growing a product line somewhere you had real ownership of the outcome.
  • Demonstrable sales ability. Evidenced by references.
  • The ability to hold many threads at once and prioritise between them without dropping any.
  • Personable, and easy to work with. Being comfortable working with technical people is essential.
  • Commercial judgement about which conversations are worth your time and which aren't.
  • Experience running outbound at volume, and the judgement to know which of it is worth following up.

Nice to have

  • Having started or run something sales-heavy of your own.
  • Experience selling early-stage products where the target market isn't well defined yet.
  • Familiarity with technical or AI-adjacent buyers.
  • Comfortable with modern GTM tooling like Clay, Apollo and similar, and the technical confidence to pick up whatever we use next.

What we offer

  • A real say in the direction of the commercial side of the company from day one.
  • Uncapped commission-based bonus structure.
  • For your first six months, commission is guaranteed at target rate while you build the GTM pipeline.
  • Meaningful equity in the company.
  • Flexible working and autonomy in how you want to approach outbound.
  • 28 days paid annual leave.
  • Workplace pension with employer contributions.

How to apply

Send a CV and cover letter to careers@telluvian.ai. The process is an initial screening followed by two online interviews and an in-person paid work test.

Please have a think about references you'd be happy for us to speak to. Ideally a previous manager and, if possible, someone who was on the other side of a deal you closed. We won't contact anyone without checking with you first.

We unfortunately don’t have the capacity to provide visa sponsorship at this time.

As part of your email please include your earliest available start date.
